  • Note di contenuto: Branched PET samples with a high content of trifunctional comonomer units were prepared by addition of suitable amounts of mono-and trifunctional monomers to dimethyl terephthalate and diethylene glycol. The samples were fully characterized in terms of structural parameters as well as viscosimetric and thermal properties. The properties of the branched samples are in agreement with the expected behaviour on the basis of their microstructure. Equilibrium melting temperatures support the hypothesis of a random distribution of the branching sites.
